Clematis is a plant that can be found in almost any summer cottage. It is unpretentious, takes up little space, and some varieties of vines can reach a height of more than 3 m. Breeders are working on breeding new varieties, so now their diversity will surprise even the most sophisticated grower.

Among all the variety of varieties, it is difficult to say which are the best. Some will like early blooming with small flowers, someone wants to decorate their garden with large-flowered, autumn species. But there are varieties that are the most frequently purchased and popular among flower growers.

Clematis Ashva is a low-growing liana, the height of which is no more than 2 m.

In one growing season, about a hundred buds can appear on Ashva vines. The inflorescences are large, bright and of various colors. They can be white, pink, purple, or crimson.

This is a plant that grows well and blooms luxuriantly only in good light. In the shadows, all these processes slow down.

The flowers are large, bright, rounded. Each has five petals. In the middle of each of them there is a contrasting vertical stripe.

Flowering begins in early summer and lasts until mid-autumn. They belong to group C, i.e. needs pruning every year.

Description of the variety of clematis Nelly Moser

Clematis Nelly Moser is one of the many hybrids. It was bred in the 19th century in France.

Vines are long, grow up to 3.5 m. It is famous for the formation of a large number of shoots per season. Refers to group B clematis, i.e. budding occurs both on new shoots and on last year's ones. But on last year's buds appear earlier.

The first bloom occurs in June, the second in July. Until the end of August, flowering is especially lush. Sometimes flowers continue to appear later, but not in a bright carpet, but separately.

A large-flowered variety with buds up to 17 cm long and full blooming flowers up to 20 cm in diameter with proper care and good weather conditions. One flower has 6-8 elliptical petals, sepals 9-12 cm.

The inflorescences are pinkish, almost white, with a bright pink vertical stripe in the middle of each petal.

Important! Since this hybrid belongs to group B, pruning should not be cardinal. Otherwise, flowering for next year may not occur.

Liana Knyazhik is a very close relative of clematis, therefore they are referred to one of the clematis groups - Knyazhiki. They can become a real garden decoration.

These are perennial vines that can live in one place for up to 15 years. Their stems are lignified, but they cling to the support due to special petioles on the leaves.

The flowers are bell-shaped, up to 10 cm in diameter.Their colors are rarely bright, more often calm pinkish or lilac shades. Sometimes they are blue. The height of the vine, depending on the variety, is 2-4 m.

Clematis De Busho is a liana that in nature can reach a height of 4 m, and in Central Russia, including the Moscow region, no higher than 3 m.

  • flower diameter - 10-15 cm;

  • medium-sized - the length of the vine is 2.5 m;

  • does not differ in high frost resistance, therefore, in order not to be beaten in the cold winter, the plant must be carefully insulated;
