Growing a flower

Landowners, gardeners, summer residents, keen on improving their yards, are interested in how to reproduce the rose they like. Several options are practiced:

  • seeds;
  • in a vegetative way: by layering, root scions, cuttings, dividing the bush, grafting.

The seeds can be harvested after flowering, and can also be used purchased. When ripe, the fruits turn red, at this time it is necessary to harvest. Experienced flower growers note that such boxes give seeds of good germination. The process of harvesting seeds is as follows:

  1. You need to cut the fruit and get the seeds.
  2. Rinse them in a special solution (1 glass of water, 2 teaspoons of bleach).
  3. Thoroughly wash off bleach.
  4. Prepare a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and soak the seeds in it for a day.
  5. Sort out floating seeds as unusable.

Sowing seeds is recommended in April, given the fact that germination will be low, so you need to take a lot of seeds. It is better to plant in containers, watering regularly. The container must be installed in the room, out of direct sunlight. The emerged seedlings are transplanted into flower pots.

Important! But better and faster, based on the amazing natural ability of plants to reproduce by cell division, to carry out vegetative reproduction. Anastasia rose, grown by the regeneration method, will have all the characteristics of a mother bush.

Cutting, as a method of propagation, is practiced most often.

After the completion of the first flowering or the appearance of buds, you can start preparing the branches. Shoots are cut off with a sharpened knife at an angle. The lower cut is made below the kidney, the upper cut is 2 cm higher. Then they are placed in a growth stimulator (0.01% heteroauxin solution) for a day. The cutting is planted either in the ground or in a suitable container.

Landing time

It is better to cut the cuttings in the morning or in the evening. You need to choose semi-lignified twigs after or at the beginning of flowering. The main sign for cutting is that the thorns break off easily.

Cuttings are planted in spring and early summer. The period coincides with the staining of the buds on the mother bushes. Can be planted in the fall.

Location selection

When choosing a landing site, a number of mandatory preparatory measures are performed:

  • do agrochemical soil analysis;
  • determine the depth of groundwater;
  • study the composition of the soil.

Important! Roses grow well in areas that are lit by the sun before lunch and open to fresh air. Shaded areas inhibit growth, flowering, and contribute to plant disease.

Preparing the soil and flower for planting

A certain amount of organic and mineral fertilizers is applied to the soil. The acidity is determined, if necessary, lime is introduced into the acidic soil. The fertile layer should reach 50 cm.

Landing procedure

Step by step process:

  1. Thorough digging and fertilization of 1-1.5 kg of organic matter and 2 tbsp. spoons of mineral fertilizers for each bush. Add about 30 g of ash to light soil.
  2. Prepare a fossa of sufficient width and depth.
  3. Removing the seedling, correcting the roots, updating the sections, lightly pruning the shoots.
  4. Lowering the seedling into the hole 5-10 cm below ground level relative to the grafting site.
  5. Backfilling with fertile soil and tamping.

Plant care

Pure-bred plants and hybrids require careful maintenance, which includes compliance with:

  • established rules for irrigation and soil moisture control;
  • it is equally important to feed up in a timely manner, to maintain the quality of the soil at a high level;
  • plants need periodic pruning;
  • replanting rose bushes is included in the list of care measures.

Roses await special care in preparation for winter.

Preventive work before wintering

Features of wintering flowers

Winter is an ordeal for a hybrid tea rose. The culture is not adapted to strong cold winds, prolonged frosts.In any region, flower growers have to deal with hilling bushes before the onset of cold weather. Covering the soil between rows of bushes is practiced. For this, old manure with straw, rotted foliage are used.

Note! With the onset of frost, the bushes are completely covered with spruce branches or dry leaves with a layer of about 10 cm. Oak leaves, the remains of any vegetation resistant to overheating are suitable for shelter.

Blooming rose

Anastasia rose goes through all natural vegetative stages. In due time there is a swelling and formation of buds, the formation of shoots, flower buds. During this time period, it is important to organize proper feeding and watering. If the soil has been prepared thoroughly before planting, you do not need to add anything else.

Important! In the first year after planting, flowering can be slowed down to allow the bushes to grow stronger.

But sometimes it happens that for some reason the rose does not give flower buds, does not bloom either in the second or third year. The reasons include:

  • improperly selected and prepared place for growing roses;
  • lack of lighting;
  • sloppy pruning of bushes.

Active flowering phase

Diseases, pests and ways to control them

The wilting of hybrid tea rose bushes is often observed. The reason turns out to be commonplace - it is a defeat of diseases: black leaf spot of foliage, rust or powdery mildew. Flowering in such a situation decreases, a viral disease inhibits the development of the plant, and it withers.

Preventive work will help to save rose bushes:

  • you need to thoroughly disinfect the equipment that performs garden procedures;
  • to make sanitary treatment of bushes with the help of effective chemicals.

All the time, effort, study of cultivation techniques will pay off at the sight of the first flowering of the Anastasia variety. The beautiful white buds and the attractive look of the bush are worth the care that the grower will give her.
